About us

As part of the Ottawa Boat Cruise corporation, Eseidon holds a wealth of navigation and boat design experience. Recognized as technology leaders with industry-specific knowledge, we have been driving innovation since 1936. In short, we know boats! But more importantly, we care deeply about the future of our waterways and the planet. And we saw the financial and environmental benefits of switching from diesel to electric motors firsthand. This commitment to reduce emissions and our technological expertise led us to design the world’s largest fully electric tour boat. We launched our brand-new electric tour boat in Ottawa’s Rideau Canal in 2016 . . . the rest is history!

What our clients are saying

The best leaders lead by example. Robert Taillefer, president of Eseidon, was instrumental in creating Queen Elizabeth, the first fully electric tour boat of its size in Canada. From concept to its launch on the Rideau Canal, Robert worked with the Torqeedo team to integrate two 50 kWh Deep Blue systems and earn Torqeedo’s first Deep Blue certification from Transport Canada. Using this experience to build custom electrical passenger ships for other operators is a natural next step toward an emissions free future.
